The media reports that Russia has taken control of one HIMARS MLRS. The media, primarily Russian, reports that the Russian armed forces have taken control of an American MLRS HIMARS that the United States had given to Ukraine. The missile system has reportedly already been brought to Russia, according to sources [who did not give their names, affiliations, or even their public, political, or military standing], without indicating whether or whether this HIMARS MLRS was purchased or taken prisoner during combat.
The first source of information was the Russian website Ruskaya Vesna, which translates to Russian Spring in English. After that, the same information was repeated by a number of Russian media outlets, including Gazeta.ru, Vzglyad, and others. In this specific instance, what’s intriguing is that Russian users are urging the media to post images as proof of Russian dominance over the American system on the Ruskaya Vesna Telegram channel. Not single one of these photographs has ever been published.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has not yet released any official information to back up the Russian media report. Beyond conjecture, experts point out that if the rumours are accurate, this MLRS might be a big setback for Washington since it would give Russian scientists time to devise countermeasures.
Destroyed HIMARS
In a news release on July 6, the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Defense stated that airstrikes had been conducted by the Russian military near the settlement of Malotaranovka in the Donetsk region.
Two HIMARS light multiple rocket launchers produced in the US and provided by Ukraine, as well as two ammo dumps, were destroyed during the strikes, according to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense. The Requirement
Using American HIMARS missile systems to attack Russian Federation territory is not legal for Ukraine. This is a demand of Washington, which was specifically stated in the contract between the US and Ukraine to supply the weaponry.
