Watch the cell phone footage of the Odesa, Ukraine, missile strike
The Russian cruise missile can be seen flying over Ukraine on its way to its target in the Black Sea in a number of online videos that were captured using cell phones.
The rocket is shown in a video with a clear blue sky that was posted on a Telegram account in Ukrainian. A caption with the image stated that it was one of the “strongest” assaults on Odessa throughout the whole 2022 invasion of Ukraine.
The Russian Kalibr cruise missile striking the harbour in Odesa is shown in a final extra clip. Russia’s allegations of a “precise assault” appear to be supported by the enormous explosion that can be seen in the sea, since no nearby infrastructure seems to have been harmed.
The action, however, raises more questions about the future of the recently-mediated agreement and the security of grain ships that will soon start leaving Ukrainian ports.
