Russian forces have downed three Ukrainian fighter jets, according to Igor Konashenkov, spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry.
“In the Rozovka and Dmitrov districts of the (self-declared) Donetsk People’s Republic, Russian Air Force fighters downed Ukrainian Air Force Su-24 and MiG-29 aircraft. A Ukrainian Su-25 fighter plane was also downed by Russian air defense systems in the Tyaginka area of the Kherson region, according to Konashenkov.
Konashenkov claims that within 24 hours, the Russian air defense troops also destroyed 3 Tochka-U ballistic missiles and 8 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) belonging to the Ukrainian army.
