Innovation vs. Imitation: Kyiv’s Suicide Drone Mimics Russian Lancet”

The sheer might of the Russian Lancet suicide drone has left an indelible mark, compelling Ukraine to embark on its own mission to replicate this formidable weaponry.

Ukraine Achieves Milestone: Replicates kamikaze UAV (Lancet Suicide UAV)

In a significant development, Ukraine has successfully produced its version of the KAMIKAZE UAV, a replica of the Lancet suicide UAV. During an interview with journalist Sergei Peychev, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Innovation, Education, Science, and Technology Development of Ukraine, Mikhail Fedorov, revealed that a suicide attack drone, named Perun, has undergone successful testing.

When asked about the potential replication of Lancet technology, Mr. Fedorov responded cautiously, stating, “While I can’t provide intricate details, there are manufacturers who have indeed created such products.”

Our Manufacturing Expansion is Underway: Counting Own Arsenal of Suicide Drones

Acknowledging the efficacy and substantial threat posed by the Russian Lancet suicide drone to Ukraine’s Armed Forces, the Ukrainian minister revealed their intent to bolster production. “We’re currently in the process of scaling up manufacturing. Our own fleet of suicide drones is on the horizon,” the minister stated.

During a demonstration to reporters, Fedorov showcased a computer video featuring the Perun drone. Initial assessments indicate a striking resemblance to the Lancet, reinforcing the notion of a complete replication.

As highlighted in earlier reports by the Russian channel RT, the Lancet has made a significant impact during the ongoing special military operation, successfully striking over 500 enemy targets. Among these, 270 suffered damage, while 170 were completely obliterated.

The Lancet’s noteworthy accomplishments encompass a wide array of “trophies,” such as the US M-777 howitzer, the German Leopard 2 tank, the IRIS-T air defense system, and numerous NATO armored vehicles.

It is noteworthy that in addition to the clone of Ukraine, the armed forces of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) also recently introduced a simplified version of the Lancet suicide drone.
