The Russian Defense Ministry claims that it successfully neutralized 43 UAVs and numerous enemy weapons throughout the day.
On July 18, the Russian Defense Ministry provided updates on ongoing military operations in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) launched attacks in the directions of Donetsk, Krasny Liman, and South Donetsk.
In the Kupyansk direction, units from the Russian Zapad force successfully conducted attacks in the area.
AFU units were also targeted near Kalinovo, Berestovoye, Kislovka, and Tabayevka in the Kharkov region, as well as Novosyolovskoye in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR).
An ammunition depot belonging to the Ukrainian Territorial Defense Forces’ 103rd Brigade was destroyed near Kotlyarovka in the Kharkov region.
The AFU suffered losses in the northern direction, including 65 Ukrainian servicemen, 2 armored fighting vehicles, 3 motor vehicles, and 1 US-made AN/TPQ-50 anti-aircraft radar station.
In the Donetsk direction, coordinated and active actions by units of the Russian Yug, along with air and artillery support, successfully repelled 12 AFU attacks near Pervomayskoye, Vesyoloye, Krasnogorovka, Maryinka, and northwest Kleshcheevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).
An area where AFU personnel and equipment were concentrated was attacked near Stupochka, Konstantinovka, and Krasnoye in the DPR.
An ammunition depot belonging to the AFU’s 79th Airborne Brigade was destroyed near Krasnogorovka in the DPR.
The AFU suffered losses in the Donetsk direction, including 400 soldiers, 2 armored fighting vehicles, 3 pickup trucks, 1 US-made M777 artillery system, 3 Polish-made Krab self-propelled artillery systems, 1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer system, two Msta-B howitzers, and D-20 and D-30 guns.
In the Krasny Liman direction, units from the Russian Tsentr forces, supported by aviation, artillery, and heavy flamethrowers, repelled two AFU attacks near Chervonaya Dibrova and Makeevka in the LPR.
AFU units were also attacked near Terny in the DPR, as well as Chervonaya Dibrova, Kovalyovka, and Karmazinovka in the LPR.
The activities of a Ukrainian reconnaissance and strike group near Kuzmino in the DPR were suppressed.
The AFU suffered losses in the Krasny Liman direction, including 100 servicemen, 2 armored fighting vehicles, 3 motor vehicles, a Polish-made Krab self-propelled artillery system, and 2 D-30 cannons.
To the south of Donetsk, Russian Vostok forces targeted AFU personnel and equipment near Urozhaynoye in the DPR and Priyutnoye in the Zaporozhye region.
Three AFU attacks were repelled near Vladimirovka and Urozhaynoye in the DPR.
In the Zaporozhye direction, coordinated actions by Russian units repelled 3 AFU attacks near Novodanilovka in the Zaporozhye region.
Areas where AFU personnel and equipment were concentrated were attacked near Malaya Tokmachka and Orekhov in the Zaporozhye region.
Additionally, 3 ammunition depots belonging to the AFU’s 23rd and 33rd motorized brigades were destroyed near Malaya Tokmachka and Uspenovka in the Zaporozhye region.
The AFU suffered losses, including over 200 Ukrainian servicemen, 1 tank, 2 armored fighting vehicles, 4 pickup trucks, 1 Msta-B howitzer, and a D-44 gun.
In the Kherson direction, the AFU suffered losses of 50 servicemen, 4 pickup trucks, 2 Msta-B cannons, and 1 Akatsiya self-propelled artillery system.
Russian forces neutralized 89 AFU artillery units at firing positions, along with their personnel and equipment in 98 areas.
Russian air defense facilities successfully shot down three projectiles launched from the HIMARS system.
Additionally, 43 Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed in various locations, including Tavolzhanka, Zhovtnyovoye in the Kharkov region, Novodruzhesk, Berestovoye, Zaliman in the LPR, Krasnaya Gora, Podgorodnoye in the DPR, Novogorovka, Rabotino, Gulyaypole, Mirnoye in the Zaporozhye region, and Geroiskoye in the Kherson region.
According to Pravda, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that on July 17, the Russian side suffered losses of 710 troops, 4 tanks, 17 armored fighting vehicles, 38 artillery systems, 4 launcher systems, 11 UAVs, and 27 fuel vehicles.
