Iran uses new tactics to make Israeli air defense “our army fights our own army”

Iran announced that it used a new attack method in its recent attack on Israel, causing the country’s defense layers to “automatically target each other”, reducing the effectiveness of interception.

“The initiatives and capabilities used in this operation allowed the missiles to hit their targets to the maximum extent despite Israel receiving full support from the US and Western powers, as well as possessing the most modern defense technology,” the IRGC said.

According to the IRGC, the new attack method causes Israel’s multi-layered defense system to become chaotic and target each other.

The Israeli military has not commented on this information. However, Israel has repeatedly admitted that the defense system cannot be completely effective and warned people to be vigilant and always stay close to shelters.

British maritime security firm Ambrey said it had observed video footage of the Israeli military intercepting the attack, followed by explosions from two hypersonic missiles.

Earlier, Fars news agency reported that Iran could deploy more advanced fourth-generation missiles in upcoming attacks targeting Israel.

Iran is believed to possess the largest ballistic missile arsenal in the Middle East.

Israeli National Security Adviser Tzachi Hanegbi said Iran still has “thousands of ballistic missiles” in its arsenal, a number significantly higher than previous estimates.

“This is not a battle that will end the Iranian threat in the long term,” Mr. Hanegbi warned.

Previously, military experts estimated Iran’s missile arsenal at between 1,500 and 2,000 missiles. However, after a series of launches in recent days and Israeli airstrikes on Tehran’s arsenals, many missiles have been used or destroyed.

However, Mr. Hanegbi’s statement shows that the scale and capability of Iran’s attacks are still larger than expected, raising concerns about the risk of escalating conflicts in the region.

Iran is also showing resilience and continuing missile attacks on Israel, despite losing many senior commanders in Israel’s preemptive strike, according to a regional security analyst.

“Iran has demonstrated that it can reorganize quickly after Israel was so successful in removing many key military leaders,” said Trita Parsi, vice president of the Quincy Institute for National Responsibility.

According to Mr. Parsi, Israel believed that it had “disrupted Iran’s command and control system,” but the reality showed that Tehran’s military apparatus was quickly restructured.

“What we are seeing now is that Iranian missiles have penetrated all layers of Israeli air defenses,” Parsi said, warning that the confrontation was entering a more dangerous phase, with both sides capable of striking deep into each other’s territory despite initial losses.

This latest development continues to raise concerns that the conflict between Iran and Israel could escalate into a full-scale war in the Middle East, with unpredictable consequences for regional and global security.
